Trump says LeBron James acted disrespectfully during the American anthem, expects an apology from him

Donald Trump criticized LeBron James for disrespectful behavior during the national anthem, demanding an apology from the basketball star. This incident occurred during the season opener against the New York Knicks, where James mimicked golf swings and shots instead of standing still. Trump expressed his disapproval on social media, stating that James should apologize to American heroes who died for the flag. The controversy over movements during the anthem has been a recurring issue in the U.S., previously highlighted by Colin Kaepernick's protests against police violence and racism. Trump and James have a history of conflict, with James accusing Trump of enabling racism.
