Turkish engineer creates live 3D pixel map of adopted hometown Warsaw

A Turkish software engineer, Bedirhan Yildirim, has created a detailed digital replica of Warsaw using AI and public data. The map includes nearly 200,000 buildings, real-time tram schedules, and weather conditions, allowing users to explore the city virtually. Yildirim was inspired by similar projects in New York and London but chose Warsaw due to his familiarity with the city. The project utilizes extensive data from Poland's national mapping office and other sources. Users can also engage in a flight simulator experience over the city. Yildirim emphasizes the efficiency of AI in creating such detailed maps quickly, highlighting the importance of human input for refinement.
