TVN24 unofficially: Poland may be exempted from the solidarity mechanism

Maciej Sokołowski from TVN24 reports that the criteria for assessing the solidarity mechanism in the EU remain unchanged, allowing Poland to seek exemption. A European Commission report on migration will be published on November 4, summarizing the situation and member states' obligations under the solidarity mechanism. Last year, Poland was classified as under migration pressure, leading to a request for exemption in 2026, which was accepted. Euro MPs discussed the migration pact, emphasizing the Polish government's stance against contributing to the fund or relocating refugees. They argue that Poland's approach is legally justified due to ongoing migration pressure.
