Two men charged over incident at British air force base
Five British men were arrested on September 27 for suspected terrorist activities near a military base, followed by the arrest of a British-Iranian man. The U.S. stationed bombers at the base for potential attacks on Iran but withdrew them after the arrests. A 24-year-old man was charged with assisting a foreign intelligence service, believed to be Iranian, while another 24-year-old was charged for trespassing with harmful intent. The British-Iranian man, 25, was released without charges but remains under investigation after a prior arrest.
