Two people taken to hospital after kitchen fire in Hemiksem

A fire broke out in a kitchen on Bredestraat in Hemiksem, leading to two residents being hospitalized. The fire started in the kitchen when the extractor hood caught fire, spreading flames throughout the house. Although the home sustained significant damage, it remains habitable after ventilation. The exact cause of the fire is still under investigation.
