Second ecoduct in Hallerbos must safely bring animals over Nijvelsesteenweg, built like "a kind of Lego"

The Nature and Forest Agency plans to construct a second ecoduct over the Nijvelsesteenweg in Hallerbos, allowing safe animal crossings. This new bridge will utilize a modular construction technique resembling Lego, enabling adaptability for various locations. The project aims to connect Lembeekbos with Hallerbos and is expected to be completed by 2028, coinciding with a new walking route between Halle and Leuven. Additionally, a lookout tower will be built near Hallerbos, offering views of the surrounding areas.
