Two charged with UK security offenses over airbase plot

UK anti-terrorism police have charged two men with national security offenses linked to an incident at a US airbase, believed to involve Iran. The charges follow suspicious activity reported at the Royal Air Force's Fairford base last month. Nouman Essghir is charged with entering a prohibited place, while Mohmed Ahmad Abdulkarim is accused of assisting a foreign intelligence service, thought to be Iran. Both men are 24 and reside in Westminster, London. Seven other suspects were previously arrested and remain on bail.
