New buses are entering service on the airport express route

New buses tailored to passenger needs are arriving for the 100E airport express line, featuring enhanced luggage storage. The Budapest Transport Center announced that 24 new MAN Lion's City 18C articulated buses will be deployed, with six already in service. These low-floor buses include a luggage compartment that can accommodate 15-25 bags or larger backpacks. The BKK noted a significant increase in passenger traffic, with over 13,400 users in August this year compared to 10,800 in August 2025, marking a growth of over 20%. The buses will also be used on long-distance routes.
