The former Liverpool star could debut in the Champions League against Szoboszlai's team.

Fenerbahce's coach, Kartal, resigned after a recent match against AS Roma, but was persuaded to stay. He has now officially stepped down following a loss to Galatasaray. Dirk Kuyt has been appointed as the interim coach, with the possibility of extending his role until the end of the season. Kuyt's first match will be against Göztepe, followed by a Champions League game against Liverpool. The club plans to appoint a permanent coach soon, depending on Kuyt's performance.
