New details have been released about the new apartment renovation support by István Kapitány

Hungarian Prime Minister Péter Magyar and Finance Minister András Kármán announced a new housing program called Wekerle Plusz, which includes a renovation support scheme. Starting in 2027, homeowners can apply for non-repayable grants and subsidized loans to improve energy efficiency. Annually, 30,000 homes will receive support, split between family houses and apartments. For family houses, renovations up to 15.5 million HUF are eligible, while apartments can receive support for renovations up to 5.2 million HUF. The combined funding can cover up to 95% of costs, including insulation and solar panels. The program aims to renovate 120,000 homes by 2030 with a budget of 600 billion HUF.
