The Iváncsa battery factory has been blacklisted with another 100 million fine
The Iváncsa battery factory, SK On Hungary Kft., has been fined 100 million HUF for environmental violations, including groundwater contamination and breaching permit regulations. The authorities have suspended the use of polluting pipelines and required the company to create a remediation plan. As a result, the factory is now on a blacklist for two years, during which it cannot receive any state support. This is not the first fine for the company, as it was previously fined 100 million HUF in August for endangering the health of 65 employees by failing to conduct mandatory air quality measurements, particularly concerning the carcinogenic risks of nickel.
