Another victim of Ted Bundy may have been identified, 37 years after the serial killer's death
Melissa Ann Smith, a 17-year-old girl murdered in 1974, is now believed to be a victim of Ted Bundy. Her body was discovered in Utah, and DNA evidence linked her murder to Bundy, who was already known for killing young women. The breakthrough came when the Utah State Crime Lab found a match between DNA from Smith's body and that of another victim, Laura Ann Aime. This connection confirmed Bundy's responsibility for Smith's murder, adding to the list of crimes attributed to him. Bundy, who was executed in 1989, is suspected of many more killings than officially recognized.
