Another Romanian airline has gone bankrupt
Dan Air, a Romanian airline founded in 2017, has filed for bankruptcy protection to ensure operational continuity and protect passengers. The company aims to avoid a scenario similar to Blue Air's collapse, which occurred after financial issues led to a court-ordered bankruptcy in 2025. Dan Air claims it has no bank debts and finances its operations through revenue. The airline operates flights from Bucharest and Bacău to various international destinations. In 2025, it reported a revenue increase of 27% but also saw a significant rise in debt. Another Romanian airline, Anima Wings, has also sought bankruptcy protection recently, but its initial request was denied by the Bucharest court.
