Hitler is rebuilding the burned Eagle's Nest, which was set on fire over the weekend
A historic building known as the Eagle's Nest, located near Berchtesgaden, was set on fire by a 33-year-old man, causing millions in damages. The perpetrator, with Bavarian ties but living in Berlin, has been taken to a psychiatric facility. Firefighting efforts were hampered by adverse weather conditions, concluding only on Sunday. The Free State of Bavaria plans to rebuild the site with the help of an expert committee focused on heritage preservation and education. Originally constructed in the 1930s for Nazi leadership, the building served as a government and residential area, closed to the public.
