UK and European peacekeepers in Ukraine would be allowed to fire back at Russians

Western officials confirmed that British and European troops could return fire if attacked while serving as peacekeepers in Ukraine post-ceasefire. The Anglo-French stabilization force, primarily European, will not depend on US technology. Exercise Koalicja, involving 2,800 personnel from 11 countries, aims to demonstrate rapid deployment capabilities. The multinational force is designed to provide security guarantees for Ukraine and assist in military regeneration after the conflict. However, the rules of engagement permit self-defense against Russian attacks, raising concerns about potential escalations. The UK has also been involved in regional defense efforts against threats from Iran and Yemen.
