Łukasz Gibała president of Kraków. He took the oath.
Łukasz Gibała has been sworn in as the new mayor of Kraków after winning early elections. During the ceremony, he pledged to serve the public good and called for political unity among city council members. Gibała emphasized the need for economic savings and a thorough audit of the city administration, aiming to address the residents' concerns about decision-making processes. He proposed collaboration with the majority coalition in the city council to improve the city's situation after years of previous leadership. Notably, there will be no celebratory banquet following the inauguration, marking a departure from past practices. Gibała won the election with over 62% of the votes, following a referendum that removed the former mayor, Aleksander Miszalski.
