Łukasz Gibała starts furnishing the office. The order to abolish departments is ready

The new mayor of Krakow, Łukasz Gibała, plans to dissolve six departments within the city administration as part of his election promises. This decision follows a previous restructuring by former mayor Aleksander Miszalski, who aimed to streamline operations. The dissolution will result in the loss of several director positions. Gibała has also appointed vice presidents responsible for various sectors, including economy and social policy. He intends to review all personnel hired in the last two years and ensure that appointments are based on merit rather than connections. Changes in management of city-owned companies are also anticipated, with a commitment to public hearings for job competitions.
