Ukraine wants talks with Russia and the USA before a Putin-Trump-Xi meeting
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized the need for trilateral negotiations involving Ukraine, the U.S., and Russia in Abu Dhabi before a potential meeting of leaders from the U.S., China, and Russia. He expressed concerns about a possible division of influence reminiscent of the Yalta Conference, stating that the current geopolitical landscape is vastly different. Zelensky also highlighted the limited supply of Patriot missiles from the U.S. to Ukraine, which falls significantly short of its needs. He mentioned ongoing discussions about territorial compromises and the importance of U.S. mediation in humanitarian efforts for occupied areas. Additionally, he reported that Ukraine is successfully intercepting a high percentage of Russian drones.
