Ukrainians are building a luxury ski resort. They are counting on tourists from Poland
A luxury ski resort named GORO Mountain Resort is being developed in the Ukrainian Carpathians, just 160 kilometers from the Polish border. Valued at $1.5 billion, the project is in a crucial phase, focusing on the Mountain Center at the summit of Vysokyi Verkh. The resort will feature a panoramic restaurant, food hall, bar with a large terrace, and viewing points. It is expected to open in summer 2027, hosting cultural and culinary events, while winter will offer 40 ski trails. Investors have secured $500 million in funding, with the project recognized as a strategic investment for Ukraine's economy.
