Ukrainian experts launch security index to help Europe tackle rising drone threat

On October 30, New Age Defense and the Ukrainian think tank BRDO introduced the Drone Security Index (DSI) to evaluate European nations' readiness against drone threats. The DSI measures preparedness in prevention, detection, response, and recovery, with scores ranging from 0 to 100. High scores indicate strong preparedness, while low scores reflect vulnerability. The index draws from Ukraine's experiences in countering drone attacks and aligns with NATO and EU resilience frameworks. Initial assessments will occur in Germany and Poland, with plans to expand to 16 additional countries in 2027. The initiative aims to enhance defense collaboration between Europe and Ukraine.
