Ukrainian drones struck fuel facilities in Russia. Airport operations halted.
A petrochemical plant in Togliatti, Russia, caught fire following a drone attack, as reported by Ukrainian media citing Russian sources. The targeted facility, Togliattikauczuk, produces synthetic rubber and chemical materials. Videos on social media showed extensive flames and thick black smoke. The Samara region declared a drone attack threat, leading to the suspension of local airport operations. The plant is crucial for Russia's civilian industry and its products are also used in military applications, including rocket fuel. This facility has been attacked previously in June and September. Polish officials view such attacks as a means to weaken Russia's military capabilities.
