A former gendarme who swam to Ceuta identifies high-ranking Interior officials from Morocco at the border "giving orders"
The National Police has questioned three Moroccans who swam into Ceuta, identifying Moroccan police commanders during a recent migration wave. They will testify before Judge María Tardón. One interrogated is a former Moroccan gendarme who attempted to swim into Ceuta on July 26 and succeeded on July 30. He recognized Moroccan auxiliary forces and police present during the migration surge. He identified a figure known as 'the Bacha of Castillejos/Fnideq', a deputy to the Moroccan Interior Ministry, who was reportedly giving orders at the time. The witness also recognized the 'Wali al-Amn of Tetuán', indicating a significant police authority in the region.
