A judge just out of the Judicial School is already investigating the deaths

A newly appointed judge, Aristea Ortiz Tiliakou, is investigating a train collision in Toledo that resulted in 69 fatalities. The judicial process involves identifying victims and examining the causes of the crash. Ortiz, despite being new to the role, is receiving support from other judges and legal experts to manage the investigation effectively. Two lawsuits have already been filed against ADIF and the Minister of Transport, Óscar Puente, for alleged negligence. The investigation is ongoing, with the Guardia Civil and the Railway Accident Investigation Commission conducting interviews with personnel involved in train operations. The focus is on determining whether a human error contributed to the accident, as suggested by the Minister.
