University students in Coimbra against reduction of time in exams

Around 50 law students from the University of Coimbra protested against the reduction of supplementary exam time for students with special educational needs. They gathered at Porta Férrea, displaying banners demanding more time as a right, not a privilege. The protest was sparked by a recent decision to limit extra time to just half an hour, which students argue undermines equality and support for those with specific needs. The president of the Law Students' Association criticized the lack of consultation regarding this change and emphasized the importance of maintaining previous support measures. Students also raised additional concerns about evaluation regulations and the dispersion of classes across different locations.
