US to offer Putin face-to-face talks with Zelenskyy and Trump

U.S. special envoy Steve Witkoff is set to propose direct talks between Vladimir Putin, Donald Trump, and Ukraine’s Volodymyr Zelenskyy to negotiate a ceasefire. This initiative, announced after discussions in Norway, aims to establish a three-way summit, marking the first such meeting since Russia's invasion of Ukraine in 2022. Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre confirmed that Witkoff will present peace proposals in Russia, following the Oslo talks amid rising tensions between Ukraine and the U.S. administration.
