The USA is launching mass production of cheap anti-drone weapons. Poland is not first in line
The Pentagon has signed a long-term agreement with BAE Systems for the production of APKWS modules, aiming to enhance precision in targeting drones. This deal allows for the purchase of up to 175,000 modules over seven years, with an annual limit of 25,000. The agreement is pending Congressional approval and funding allocation. The APKWS modules convert unguided rockets into laser-guided missiles, proving effective in various combat scenarios. The rising demand for these modules poses challenges for countries like Poland, which are also seeking to acquire them for their military needs. The production capacity is currently insufficient to meet global demand, particularly from Middle Eastern allies.
