The rule of law bill has been adopted. It is to send 'neo-judges' back to positions held before their promotion.

The ruling coalition acknowledges that the president will not sign the new law, which is seen as symbolically significant. The law, supported by 231 MPs, aims to restore the right to an independent judiciary by nullifying resolutions from the National Judiciary Council made between 2018 and 2026. It allows judges affected by these resolutions to return to their previous positions, except for those concerning novice judges. The law stipulates that any judicial positions filled based on these resolutions will be considered vacant upon the law's enactment, requiring a new appointment process. The opposition hopes President Karol Nawrocki will veto the law, while amendments from the KO club were accepted before the vote.
