The bill passed through the Sejm and the Senate. The ministry is still returning with the same idea.
The Polish government is working on a tax reform project aimed at changing income tax rates and thresholds. The proposal includes raising the first income tax threshold from 120,000 to 130,000 PLN while maintaining a 12% rate below this threshold. A new 24% rate will apply to incomes between 130,000 and 150,000 PLN, and a 32% rate for incomes above 150,000 PLN. Additionally, the project lowers the revenue limit for choosing a flat-rate tax from 2 million to 250,000 euros and increases the solidarity tax rate from 4% to 5% for incomes exceeding 1 million PLN. The project aims to address constitutional concerns raised during the legislative process, particularly regarding changes made by the Senate. The Ministry of Finance is resubmitting the project to ensure compliance with constitutional requirements, with a deadline for publication before the end of November.
