Armed police officers at the home of the organizer of the Independence March. The background of the intervention
On Saturday, the Warsaw IV Police received a report of a possible murder and suicide threat at an apartment in Wola. Officers found Bartosz Malewski, president of the Independence March Association, who expressed shock at the police response. He suggested the incident might be an attempt to intimidate him due to his recent activism. Malewski noted that similar false alarms have occurred in the past, potentially linked to foreign intelligence aiming to destabilize Poland. The police are investigating the false report and data protection violations. Despite the incident, preparations for the Independence March on November 11 continue as planned, with Malewski affirming his commitment to public service.
