The Hungarian women's youth handball team won silver at the World Championship.

The Hungarian team, coached by Krisztina Pigniczki, won all group matches against Guinea, Belarus, and Paraguay. They reached the semifinals, defeating China, but lost to Germany in the final. Molnár Hanna was the top scorer of the tournament with nine goals.
