Many websites vulnerable to leaks in popular programming language

Recent vulnerabilities in PHP have made many popular websites more susceptible to hacking. Two serious security flaws allow hackers to exploit backdoors in websites. Notubiz, a system used by numerous municipalities, has been taken offline as a precaution, along with systems from news agency ANP. Cloudflare, which acts as a firewall for many sites, has reported initial attacks but is intercepting attempts to exploit the vulnerabilities. A permanent fix is expected later today, following an announcement from PHP's organization. Despite a decline in PHP's popularity, it remains widely used. The vulnerabilities allow attackers to execute their own code on affected systems, potentially leading to data theft. Ethical hackers typically identify and resolve such issues before they can be exploited, but when they are not, the consequences can be severe, as seen with the Public Prosecution Service going offline after a zero-day leak.
