Promising injection in treatment reduces risk of skin cancer recurrence

A new treatment developed by Moderna and Merck reduces the risk of death and recurrence of skin cancer by over 40%. This combination of a new injection and immunotherapy shows a 42% improvement compared to immunotherapy alone. The study focused on melanoma, an aggressive skin cancer, involving over 1,100 patients. Results indicate a 38% lower risk of cancer spread. The findings will be officially presented at the ESMO congress in Madrid.
