Vegan chocolate sues Toblerone's manufacturer over its shape
Mondelēz has filed a trademark infringement lawsuit against Catherine’s Originals, claiming that their O’bar chocolate resembles the iconic Toblerone shape. The lawsuit was submitted to the London Supreme Court, asserting that the O’bar's design infringes on the protected three-dimensional trademark of Toblerone. Catherine’s Originals defends itself by stating that their chocolate bars form an 'O' shape, representing the brand name. The founder, Catherine Dodd, expressed determination to fight the allegations despite being a small business. This is not the first legal challenge for Toblerone, as they previously settled a case with Poundland over a similar design issue.
