Ventura wants a CPI on Neves without pauses in the OE

André Ventura, head of the parliamentary inquiry into Luís Neves' tenure at the Judiciary Police, plans to continue the inquiry during the state budget discussions despite lacking consensus. He acknowledged differing opinions among parliamentary groups but intends to propose a vote on maintaining the inquiry's activities. If his proposal fails, an alternative to suspend the inquiry will be voted on. Ventura also mentioned the potential remote hearing of hacker Rui Pinto, who is under judicial protection, and indicated that written testimonies from former President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa and former Prime Minister António Costa are expected. The inquiry was established to assess Neves' actions and any governmental responsibilities during his leadership from 2018 to 2026.
