Despair after devastating fire in Limburg saloon: 'Our pride has burned down'

Members of the Davy Crockett shooting club in Meterik are devastated after a fire destroyed their newly built wooden clubhouse. The club had just celebrated its opening day when smoke was spotted coming from the walls during the event. Despite efforts to extinguish the flames, the fire spread quickly, making the building unsalvageable. The clubhouse, constructed over seven months for the club's 60th anniversary, featured a rustic design inspired by North American history. Fortunately, the adjacent shooting range building survived, although it sustained water damage. The club is insured and plans to rebuild, hoping to create another wooden saloon.
