Opposition to Zaventem airport flight path grows: 900 Brussels residents join lawsuit
Over 900 residents from the Brussels region have joined a lawsuit against the RNP 07L flight path to Brussels Airport, citing noise disturbances. The case was initiated by 42 families from Dilbeek, Lennik, and Roosdaal, who seek to suspend the flight path and claim damages. The new satellite-guided route has increased noise exposure for 459,000 people, according to Free Air 4 Brussels. The Brussels court is expected to deliver its first ruling by early 2027. Local authorities have also indicated plans for legal action against the flight path due to ongoing complaints.
