Most regional cities already know their new coalitions. Prague and České Budějovice are still negotiating.

Three weeks after the municipal elections, most regional cities in the Czech Republic have formed new coalitions. In Jihlava and Plzeň, inaugural council meetings have already taken place, electing mayors. Negotiations in Prague and České Budějovice are ongoing, with deadlines for council meetings approaching. In Prague, the outgoing mayor has scheduled a meeting but anticipates a delay due to coalition discussions. The winning movement STAN is leading negotiations, considering partnerships with other parties while excluding ANO. In České Budějovice, a coalition is forming that may exclude the winning party. Other cities like Zlín, Ústí nad Labem, and Karlovy Vary have also established coalitions, with various parties collaborating to secure majority control in their councils.
