A via ferrata route is being built on the Bél-kő cliff face in the Bükk Mountains
A via ferrata is being constructed on the vertical walls of the former slate quarry at Bél-kő in the Bükk region, as announced by the Hungarian Mountain and Sport Climbing Association. This new climbing route, supported by Active Hungary, will offer a fresh perspective on the impressive rock formations around Bélapátfalva. The construction is nearing completion, and once finished and approved, it will be accessible to the public. Since the first via ferrata was built in Hungary in 2013, several more have been established across the country, quickly gaining popularity among climbers.
