Four goals from Weghorst and five assists from Ørjasaeter in Twente's 0-9 victory over Excelsior

FC Twente achieved a historic 9-0 victory over Excelsior, marking the largest win in Eredivisie history for Twente and the biggest loss for Excelsior. The match was influenced by an early red card for Excelsior's Nesto Groen. Wout Weghorst scored four goals, completing a hat trick in the first half, while Sondre Ørjasaeter provided assists for all of Weghorst's goals and added two assists for other players. Excelsior failed to register a shot on target and has now lost four consecutive matches, conceding 19 goals in that span. FC Twente is now just two points behind league leaders Feyenoord and will face Ajax next week.
