Four suspects arrested for defrauding a woman from Deerlijk, victim immediately called the police
Four suspects were arrested for defrauding a 77-year-old woman in Deerlijk, who reported the incident immediately. The fraud occurred on October 19 when the victim received a call from someone impersonating a police officer. Shortly after, a woman at her door, also posing as an officer, convinced her to hand over money and jewelry. The police quickly launched an investigation, identifying two vehicles linked to the crime, which led to the suspects' arrest in Willebroek. Five individuals were detained, but only four were formally charged, including three men and two women aged 21 to 23, from the Netherlands and Antwerp. The investigation continues, and the public is advised to report suspicious activities.
