A cold snap arrives on Thursday with stormy winds and heavy rain

On Thursday, Hungary will experience significant weather changes with strong winds and heavy rain. Initially, the sky will be mostly cloudy or overcast, with widespread rain expected. The precipitation will gradually move northeast, bringing substantial rainfall in some areas. After the rain, the weather will become variably cloudy, with clearer skies developing from the west in the evening. Winds will shift to the northwest and strengthen, potentially reaching storm levels in certain regions, with gusts exceeding 70-75 km/h and even up to 90 km/h in higher areas. Daytime temperatures will range from 12 to 18 degrees Celsius, dropping to 5-12 degrees by late evening, with some areas receiving over 20 mm of rain by Thursday evening.
