Violente tempeste si abbattono sull'Europa con blackout e disagi nei trasporti
Severe storms have hit Northern Europe, leaving over 150,000 homes without electricity and disrupting transport and communication networks. In Lille, France, a 25-year-old runner was injured by a fallen tree during the city's marathon, which was held for the first time in 31 years. The storms, named Boelo and Austen, caused power outages affecting 82,000 users in the UK, nearly 60,000 in France, and at least 10,000 in Germany. Wind speeds reached up to 135 km/h in Scotland, blocking roads and railways. In Germany, storm Austen cut electricity for 10,000 homes in Freiburg. The bad weather also impacted the Netherlands and Belgium, with injuries reported in Brussels due to falling trees. Hundreds of flights across Northern Europe were canceled or diverted due to the storms.
