Viseu joins the fight for the right to housing

Around 100 people gathered in Viseu to protest for housing rights, highlighting the nationwide housing crisis. The demonstration was organized by the Já Marchavas platform, with participants expressing solidarity with ongoing protests in Lisbon and Porto. Attendees emphasized the rising housing costs and stagnant wages, calling for action against abusive evictions and real estate speculation. Three documents were unanimously approved, including a vote of solidarity with protesters and demands for increased public housing and a national demonstration scheduled for November 14.
