The opposition leader who took the Nobel Peace Prize from Trump has returned to Venezuela

Maria Corina Machado, the Venezuelan opposition leader, returned to Caracas after a year in exile, greeted by a large crowd. She had secretly left the country to accept the Nobel Peace Prize in Norway. Donald Trump had also been a nominee for the prize and was displeased with the outcome. Following a failed operation to capture President Nicolas Maduro, his deputy Delcy Rodríguez temporarily took over leadership instead of Machado.
