Vitézy: Five times as much money will be allocated for road renovations from the 2027 budget

Hungarian Minister of Transport and Investment, Dávid Vitézy, announced significant funding increases for infrastructure and housing in the 2027 budget proposal. Key developments include a rise in road renovation funding from 20 billion to 100 billion HUF, and an increase in MÁV's investment budget from 30 billion to 80 billion HUF for railway improvements. The government will also support domestic contributions for large railway projects funded by EU grants. Additionally, the new Wekerle Plusz housing support system will replace Otthon Start, offering favorable loans for first-time homebuyers and a new savings scheme for young people. Energy renovation programs will also be available nationwide.
