Vitória de Guimarães thrashes Marítimo and moves away from the relegation zone of the I Liga

Vitória de Guimarães defeated Marítimo 5-0 in the opening match of the ninth round of the Portuguese Liga, moving away from the relegation zone. The team ended a five-match winless streak, leading 1-0 at halftime with a goal from Jakupovic. Additional goals came from Paulo Henrique (own goal), Oumar Camara, Jakupovic again, and Yeimar Mosquera. Marítimo, unable to respond, suffered their seventh consecutive league match without a win.
