The government rejected the audiovisual fund budget. Klempíř will dismiss its chairman Dvořák.

The Czech Ministry of Culture will dismiss Petr Dvořák from the board of the State Fund for Audiovisual Culture due to differing views on fund management and insufficient cooperation in finding savings. Dvořák, appointed in June 2025, criticized the rushed and unapproved budget proposal for 2027. The government did not approve the fund's budget last week, and Minister Oto Klempíř requested a significant reduction in support for audiovisual projects. Despite the budgetary uncertainty, Klempíř assured that previously allocated incentives are secure. The fund plans to implement necessary savings measures while maintaining support for audiovisual creation.
