Plane that crashed in Florida may have broken apart in the air
The Learjet 60 may have disintegrated in mid-air before crashing, according to the NTSB. Evidence suggests parts could be found away from the crash site. The pilots reported ice formation at high altitude and a rapid descent rate. One pilot declared an emergency before the crash, which killed all nine on board, including a Texas tech entrepreneur and his family.
