For the second night in a row, a car drives into the exact same spot in the canal on A19
On the A19 near Geluveld, a car lost control for the second consecutive night at the same spot, landing in a deep ditch. The driver, an Audi occupant, was fortunate to escape with minor injuries. Heavy rain and wind from storm Boelo contributed to the slippery conditions, similar to the previous incident during storm Austen. Firefighters were called to assist, but the driver managed to exit the vehicle independently. The car sustained significant damage and one lane was temporarily closed for recovery operations. Aquaplaning is suspected as the cause of the accidents.
