Cautious rapprochement between Russia and Ukraine followed by attacks

Recent Russian attacks on Kyiv resulted in at least fifteen injuries and damage to infrastructure, including the South Bridge. Energy infrastructure in Kremenchuk was also targeted. In response, Kyiv launched over 630 drones at Moscow, injuring two. Negotiations for peace are being discussed following talks between U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff and both Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Zelensky supports U.S. proposals for talks, while the Kremlin expressed readiness but criticized the ideas as not very useful. Discussions may occur next month, focusing on security guarantees and energy ceasefire proposals.
